I started with oil pastel line drawing followed up with oil paint on top thinly. The key to this image was knowing when to stop applying paint. This model, Anka has the unusual ability to wrap her body around some invisible trajectory that gives the whole image a dynamic movement that the eye can follow. She'll basically compose a picture for you. Works every time.

Paul's incredible presence and his mind radiating outwards always drags you into certain degree of exaggeration. Notice how the line describing his left arm follows the shape of his back, emphasising the curve of the figure and how his visible hand is flattened and unnaturally elongated.

She is one of these models that wants a little exaggeration. Her proportions are beautiful but very unusual: the mass and length of her ties together is roughly equal to that of the top of her torso including her head. Her fingers are unbelievably long which is compounded by the extra-long fingernails.
